I am having difficulty adapting my existing eclipse project so that myeclipse will work with it. Specifically, the struts tags are not recognized when I edit jsp pages. In addition the struts designer doesn’t reverse engineer my struts-config.xml file. It would be nice if there were widgets to get the same functionality out of existing eclipse projects that you get in new myeclipse projects. Right now what I am attempting to do is to manually edit my project’s configuration files by pasting in lines from a new myeclipse test project. So far this approach has not worked. 🙁

Can you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

Also please outline the structure of your project for me, and have you tried adding “Web Project Capabilities” to your project as well as “Struts Capabilities”?

I’m also having a problem with MyEclipse giving me bogus source code errors in an imported project. It was even complaining about the first package line, which was absolutely perfect, and then had other bogus complaints not quite fitting the content of several other source lines. This particular module compiles just fine under an ant build, thankUverymuch.

After putting new dents in my head and feet, I finally just closed the file and reopened it. POOF – all errors just disappeared. Great – thanks for the waste of time.
