I just installed the latest version of MyEclipse on a Linux (Ubuntu) system. When I attempt to import a Maven project, the “Updating Indexes” message displays. It gets to about 64% complete and then hangs. I can manually download the http://repo1.maven.org/maven2/.index/nexus-maven-repository-index.zip in 20-30 minutes. Is there a Maven configuration that I’m missing in MyEclipse?

When you say latest version of ME are you referring to 8.0 or 8.5 M2? Can you answer few queries for me to get to the root cause?
1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
2. Are you facing mouse button click issue ?
3. Can you look into your .log file located at <your workspace dir>/.metadata/.log and copy and paste relevant issues here
4. Is the Maven project you are attempting to import a MyEclipse created ?
5. Are you using the import from a remote location or have you copied the resource locally?

ANSWER TO QUESTION 1: Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
