    Hi

I am able to start tomcat from myeclipse without any errors but if I go to services.msc in my windows I see it still not active or running. Why is that so?

Am I going some where wrong or what is the reason for not showing in windows but running it in myeclipse.

    I am using VISTA O/S.

    Please help.

    Thank you,

    Srikanth,

This behavior is expected, MyEclipse starts Tomcat directly using the Tomcat binaries, it won’t use the Windows service to start it. As a result, the state of Tomcat will not be reflected.

This will not affect how Tomcat works, so you can ignore it, you would have the same experience if you run “startup.bat” from the Tomcat installation’s bin folder.
