I have been trying to install MyEclipse using a variety of installers:
ME 2014 Online
ME 2014 Offline
ME 2014 Spring Online
ME 2014 Spring Offline
ME 2013 Online
ME 2013 Offline
ME 2013 Spring Online
ME 2013 Spring OfflineNothing happens.
All I can see is that in Task Manager, they start up, take 128 K or memory but don’t move any further forward.
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.
For now, I have installed MyEclipse as a plugin on a fresh Eclipse Kepler installation.

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
> Can you please mention what happens exactly after running the installers ? Does it open the installation wizard or it does nothing ?
> Also, can you please clarify, if there is anything unusual in the way you are running the installers ?
> Can you please attach the installation log file to help us investigate further ? You can find the installation log file named ‘pulse-one- ‘ in the ‘Temp’ folder (you can find the path of temp folder by entering echo %TEMP% in the command prompt).
> Are you facing any issues after installing MyEclipse from the update site (as that is a valid installation method) ?

When I double click on the EXE file, I get the usual Windows Security message.
However, after that nothing happens.
I don’t get any installation wizard. Nor do I see any installation logs in the temp folder.
I am attaching a screenshot of my task manager which shows the process with 128K of memory assigned to it but doing nothing after that.
I needed a fresh Eclipse Kepler installation to use the updatesite.
The issues I am facing there are different. I will raise those separately as they are not related to the installation but due to insufficient/incomplete features.
Perhaps, that is a documentation issue or perhaps, genuinely features are missing. Either way, there is definitely a room for improvement.

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
1. Can you please try to run the installer from the command line using the -consolelog option and let us know what errors are logged on the installer command window?
2. Can you please check if the anti virus running on your system is blocking the installer?
3. Is the issue only with MyEclipse installers? Can you check if any other installers work?
4. Can you please try disabling the UAC(User Account Control) and see if the installer works?Let us know how it works for you.

I have tried all the steps you mentioned. Yet, there is no success.
All other installers work. However, the MyEclipse installers don’t work.

What exactly happens when you try the above and what errors do you see on the console window? Please copy paste the contents logged in the window.

Nothing happens at all. All I get is a process with 128K of memory attached to it in Task Manager.
I don’t see any console log or any file log.

1. Can you please right click on the installer and choose ‘Run As Administrator’ ? Does it work?
2. Can you please let us know what features are missing when you have installed MyEclipse using the update site? While we try to investigate the issue with the installer on your machine,we would like to get your current install using the Update Site working for you.

Running the executable as administrator has done the trick. I am installing the Spring 2014 edition of MyEclipse.
With regards to missing features, I will raise a separate issue for that as I don’t want to convolute this one.
