Matt BucknamParticipantI cannot find the MyEclipse Java Enterprise perspective anywhere. I’m using the pulse installed version on Ubuntu Linux
Loyal WaterMemberCan you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.
What plugins did you setup with MyEclipse?
Are you able to see the other perspectives and create MyEclipse projects (e.g. MyEclipse web project)?
Matt BucknamParticipantI added mylyn and subversive plugins. I can see other perspectives and create myeclipse projects. Seems the only thing missing is the perspective. Just not there. Weird.

Loyal WaterMemberCan you switch to a new workspace and check if the perspective shows up.
Incase the perspective is still missing, can you right click on your MyEclipse profile and select Reinstall and Run. Does that fix the issue?
ButchAntonMemberI have the same problem. I tried the reinstall and run trick, but that didn’t help either.
Loyal WaterMemberButchAnton,
Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail and paste the information here for me.

Loyal WaterMemberButchAnton ,
I just wanted to confirm that you set up MyEclipse with Eclipse 3.4 classic?
ButchAntonMemberUsing Pulse, I installed:
Eclipse Base
MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench
Pulse Services and Extensions
Sun Java 1.5.0_11
(This was the base install)I tested it at this point and the perspective was missing. I installed some more stuff after that.
Butch
Matt BucknamParticipantany updates for this? I have un-installed and re-installed. No enterprise perspective and no joy… Also, my 6.5 profile starts using the 7.0 splash screen. Weird?
Loyal WaterMemberGuys,
The dev team is looking into this issue. I’ll get back to you with an update asap.mbucknam,
Can you try reinstalling to a brand new location and check if it fixes the issue. What OS are you working on?
Matt BucknamParticipantI wish more people were having the problem. Since it is just the two of us I imagine it will be hard to track down. I have multiple profiles under both eclipse versions. Don’t know if that contributes to it.
6.5 is holding strong for me so no worries. I still think MyEclipse is the best of the best. We’ll try a clean install when time allows and let you know.
Thanks for the update.
Loyal WaterMembermbucknam,
I hope the clean install helps. MyEclipse 7.0M2 is due in about 2 weeks from now. You could give that a shot when its out.
cboudreauMemberThe same thing happens for me in MyEclipse 7.0 M1 – there is no MyEclipse Java Perspective to be found. I wasn’t sure if this was on purpose. I just tried to use the Java Perspective instead.
I’m currently on Windows XP SP3 but I found this also to be true on my Mac OS 10.5 at home.
I downloaded this software with Pulse.
Loyal WaterMemberCan you please upgrade to 7.0M2 and test this again.
