    Hi All,

I have manually set the file types of *.tag to use the MyEclipse JSP Editor in the Preferences Dialog (General/Editors/File Associates).

The file icons are showing that all *.tag files are associated with the JSP Editor.

I open a *.tag file and begin editing. When pressing control-space (for command completions) only XML templates are showing up.

If anyone has a workaround or a fix for this, please share it 😉

This does not happen for MyEclipse M6.

    My Eclipse Installer Used:
    EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_030804_3.1M7Beta.exe

Did you upgrade to Eclipse M7 when you installed that version of MyEclipse?

    #229935 Reply

Yes. The installer will only let you install with eclipse M7.

So I can reproduce this locally, are you .tag files simply JSP pages?

Yeah. So, referencing the J2EE 1.4 Spec / JSP 2.0 Spec, they are referred to as tag files. Unfortunately you can tell the J2EE Server to use a different extension, I believe these files neet to have the *.tag extension.

    Correction:

Unfortunately you can’t configure the J2EE Server to use a different extension, I believe these files neet to have the *.tag extension.
