Ok this is starting to get annoying…

It’s every day now that I boot up my computer and open my project that I have to fiddle around with the project JRE settings.

I keep putting JDK 1.6, and then next time I open my project I find MyEclipse reverted back to 1.4!

Please help me resolve this.

I am using MyEclipse 9.0-20110318

I have my project set to use workspace default. To set the default I use the Installed JREs page and place a check mark next to JDK 1.6. This is the step I need to keep repeated every day. It keeps switching itself back to 1.4

The Compiler page where you configure the project’s code version compliance is good – it stays on 1.6

I guess I could remove JDK 1.4 and that may fix the issue, or maybe I could explicitly set my project to use 1.6 instead of trying to use workspace default but something is obviously wrong and I d like to fix it.

This is a known issue. We already have a bug filed for the dev team to work on it.

I was getting worried that perhaps my installation was screwed up.

I can verify that the workaround of specifying a project specific JRE of 1.6 works for me – it retains that choice after reboot. Only the workspace default is not being updated properly.
