    Hi,
My friend (to my advice) downloaded MyEclipse 7.5 to try it, and tried out the JSF tutorial (JSFLoginDemo).
I’m afraid, he won’t like it because of annoying errors.
    1. The tutorial is for version 6.5 and the visual HTML desingner is completely different in 7.5.
(The placement and editing of h: elements is completely different.)
    2. The placement of an h:message element is left out of the tutorial.
    3. What is MOST ANNOYING, the freshly created and modified MessageBundle.properties file is simply not saved, no matter how we try. (He/we have a Hungarian Windows XP.)
We can work around the problem as it follows.
    a. The file must be opened and modified with the ‘Properties File Editor’ first.
    b. Then the the ‘MyEclipse Properties Editor’ can be used normally.
    Thanks

    dtb,
I could not replicate the issue with “MyEclipse Properties Editor”.
Can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ?

    dtb,
I tried this again and could not replicate it. I was able to modify MessageBundle.properties file with “MyEclipse Properties Editor”. I have attached the screen shots showing the ME properties editor. Please note that I have opened the properties file using Me properties editor.
Are there any errors in the problems window or in the log file located at workspace dir > .metadata > .log
Also can you switch to a new workspace and check if the problem still exits?

    Shalini,
The snapshots are familiar, and the whole thing seems to work.
    1. Be sure that there is no MessageBundle.properties file at all.
    2. Create a new MessageBundle.properties, and the ME Properties Editor will open automatically.
    3. Create some (at least one) new propertiy-value pairs.
    4. Save it, close it (or the IDE), then reopen it
    5. Change to Source view or open it out of the IDE, and your file will be empty.
If the file is newly created, this will always happen. If it is created some other way, and is NOT EMPTY, then ME Properties Editor works fine.

    Balazs,
Thank you for the steps. Closing the IDE, I could replicate the issue.
I have raised a PR with the dev team.
