vitorsouzaMemberHi,
I have a MyEclipse 6.0.1 installed on an Eclipse 3.3.1.1 under Kubuntu Linux 7.10. I just performed a fresh manual install and MyEclipse presented the Quick Updates window. One of these updates, MyEclipse Reports 6.0.2, is presenting an error:
Eclipse BIRT Report Designer Feature (2.2.0.zmyeclipse602200712) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.pde.ui (3.2.0)”, or compatible.
Shouldn’t the dependencies be downloaded automatically? What do I need to install?
Thank you,
VÃtor Souza
Loyal WaterMemberI seems like your missing the PDE, which means you didn’t use the “Classic” install, but rather probably used the “Europa for Java” install or some other pre-packaged install.
Go to Help > Software Updates > Find and Install > Search for new features to install and go to the Europa Discovery site and add the PDE.
dandoyonMemberI too have this same problem and am not having any luck. The Eclipse Project Update site is where the PDE can be found but its a later version and does not help. I tried installing europa from scratch and getting updates before installing myeclipse 6.0.1, the problem seems to be that the BIRT plugin is looking for an older version of the PDE. My guess is that the BIRT plugin will not be functioning until MyEclipse provides build specific for europa.
I would love it if someone would prove me wrong.
Loyal WaterMemberdandoyon,
Are you using Europa Classic? What OS are you working on ?
dandoyonMemberEclipse: Version: 3.3.0 Build id: M20070921-1145
Windows XP Professional svc pack 2
Loyal WaterMemberIm not sure if this is the build id for Eclipse Europa Classic. You will have to check with the eclipse team. You can go to the eclipse download page and download the Eclipse Classic 3.3.1.1 package:-

dandoyonMemberI will install this and get back on results. Thanks for quick turnaround.
dandoyonMemberEclipse Classic 3.3.1.1 installation does the trick. I am happily proven wrong, thanks
