I am using myeclipse for the first time to develop and web app in Tomcat and also using the hibernate . I’ve spent time developing a very simple web app but I kept on having an error message:

    java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: org/hibernate/criterion/Criterion

The hibernate jars are not found in the WEB-INF/lib directory. This may appear a simple process, but i need help all the same. I’ve use netbeans all my life. Please I need assitance from any one.

    Thank you.

    Just a couple of questions:

    1) What version of MyEclipse are you using?
    2) Have you added Hibernate capabilities to your MyEclipse Web project?
    3) Do you have “deploy user libraries” option turned on? Window > Preferences > MyEclipse > J2EE project > Web Project > Deployment Then select “Jars in Web project’s user libraries”
