“An unexpected error occurred preparing to install and/or launch the selected profile”

    and here’s the reason:

An error occurred while generating manifest for C:\Program Files\Pulse\Common\plugins\com.genuitec.eclipse.fileview_6.5.0.zmyeclipse650200806.jar.; artifact at C:\Program Files\Pulse\Common\plugins\com.genuitec.eclipse.fileview_6.5.0.zmyeclipse650200806.jar has size of 553 bytes and is not valid: java.util.zip.ZipException: error in opening zip file

The manifest is missing for: [R]com.genuitec.eclipse.fileview 6.5.0.zmyeclipse650200806.

I’ve checked the directory and there is no fileview plugin JAR file to open.

    What do I do now?

Can you go to C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\.pulse directory and erase it and then try reinstalling pulse. Does that help?

    There isn’t a directory called C:\Documents and Settings\(username)\.pulse.

I searched the whole of C:\ for a file called .pulse and there aint one.

I’ve uninstalled Pulse Explorer and completely removed C:\Program Files\Pulse and re-installed Pulse Explorer and MyEclipse Pulse Edition and got the same error again.

I’m just about ready to give up on this damn pulse thing, and just download the complete edition.
