I’m missing in ME 2.7 and 2.7.1 inside the project properties the button which allowed to change the webapp root folder. For me this is a major bug. 75% of the ME flexibility we talked about two months ago stands and falls with this button.

    Phew, I found the 2.7RC2 screenshot I made 3 weeks ago…

    Victor,

I just received this from the team as to why this button went missing:

I believe this is in regards to the old browse button web-root field of the
MyEclipse Web project property sheet. We removed the ability for a user to
arbitrarily change the web-root to another folder since allowed a naive user
to change the web-root to any will-nilly folder and expect ME to deal with
potential non-WAR web-roots. Since no validation was in place and there was
a user that was just randomly changing this value we decided to pull it
until we had better protection mechanisms in place. The discussion has been
flexible project structure needs to account for this in some way.

I believe there is a workaround suggested at the end of this topic that might work until the issue is resolved.

😆 Thanks Greg, but, after installing 2.7.0ga and recreating the projects, this was the second thing I’ve done. The first was looking for someone with 2.7rc2 and doing the screenshot 😆
