MyEclipse will not install on Eclipse Classic (Linux)

    When I try to install MyEclipse on my Linux (Ubuntu) machines, by the following method: Install Eclipse Classic v 3.4.1 and then use Help, Software Updates and then add site (url = http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/discovery-6.5/….

    I get error:

    Cannot complete the request. See the details.
    Cannot find a solution where both Match[requiredCapability: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/com.ibm.icu/[3.6.1.v20070906,3.6.1.v20070906]] and Match[requiredCapability: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/com.ibm.icu/[3.8.1.v20080530,3.8.1.v20080530]] can be satisfied.
    Cannot find a solution where both Match[requiredCapability: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/com.ibm.icu/[3.6.1.v20070906,3.6.1.v20070906]] and Match[requiredCapability: org.eclipse.equinox.p2.iu/com.ibm.icu/[3.8.1.v20080530,3.8.1.v20080530]] can be satisfied.

    I want to install MyEclipse on my Linux machine and already am a member… what now?

    You will have to upgrade to MyEclipse 7.0 since that’s the version compatible with Eclipse 3.4.1. MyEclipse 6.5 is compatible with Eclipse 3.3.x.

    You can grab the MyEclipse 7.0 archive update site from our download page and set that up with Eclipse 3.4.1.
