Francisco ChamorroMemberHi, I have been a long time user and recently installed MyEclipse10 but the company anti-virus software keeps reporting that MyEclipse10.exe contains a RootShell security violation and proceeds to delete the insaller!
Is there anyway around this?
support-swapnaModeratorchamorrofr,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I have an anti virus running on my machine and do not see any issues with the MyEclipse installer.
Can you let us know the OS version and details ?
I suggest you try the other methods of installations :
1. Custom Installer : Click on the ‘Custom Installer’ from this link :
http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=ME2. You can use Pulse to install MyEclipse. Download and install Pulse from http://www.poweredbypulse.com (go to the downloads page and select “Your Eclipse IDE Management”)
Start Pulse and from the Indigo realm, choose Ready to Use Profiles > Browse Categories – from the IDE node, select either the MyEclipse or MyEclipse Blue profile, right click and choose Run.3. You can use the Archived Update Site method.
The Archived Update Site for MyEclipse 10.6 can be downloaded from here :
http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Recommend_Us&req=Download&version=MEHere is the FAQ to install using Archived Update Site : https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/installation-install-myeclipse-using-archived-update-site/
Please note that the FAQ is based on previous version of MyEclipse. You can follow the same steps but for MyEclipse 10.6.Let us know if you see any issues.
Francisco ChamorroMemberHi, I am running 32bit version of Windows 7 Enterprise. The anti-virus software is Kaspersky Anti-Virus (6.0.4.1424)
I installed MyEclipse 10 version.
I will try the other install methods you suggested and see what results I get.
