My IDE is hanging on startup. It was working fine and now the IDE starts, I select my workspace and it starts and then hangs. It does not matter which workspace. The UI is completely unresponsive. I tried to re-install through Pulse and received this message.

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
…
Unable to retrieve or.eclipse.update.feature,com.collabnet.subversion.merge.feature, 2.2.3
Unable to retrieve artifact; see log for more details
com.genuitec.pulse2.client.common.download.WrongFileLengthException: 13352 is not expected; should have been 19142.

The only entry in the PulseExplorer workspace .log is the following:

!SESSION Thu Feb 10 10:29:45 EST 2011 ——————————————
!ENTRY org.eclipse.equinox.launcher 4 0 2011-02-10 10:29:45.541
!MESSAGE Invalid splash path entry: platform\:/base/plugins/org.eclipse.platform

I cannot get MyEclipse to come up so I can grab the installation information or any other information. I do not know how the get the same information from Pulse

1) Did you install any third party plugins lately ? Did it stop working after adding the Subversion plugin?

2) Can you check if the version of the plugin is compatible with the base Eclipse version of the MyEclipse you are working with? You can find the base version from the Overview tab.

Here is how you can uninstall the plugin from Pulse :

a) Launch the Pulse explorer, select the version of ME under MyProfiles. Switch to Software tab.
b) Right click on the plugin under My Software list to remove it.
c) Apply the changes and follow the wizard.

Once done, start the IDE.

I had been using the IDE. I reinstalled again and now it works.
