When creating a new Java Maven Project, the project name specified by the user is completely ignored and appears to be created using the artefact Id.

I cannot see a reason for this, and it is a little annoying. MyEclipseIDE should obey what I said and call the project (and thus the naming directory) as I have specified.

Is this something that is to be changed for 7.0?

This was a known issue that was fixed in the 7.0M2 release. What version of ME are you working with?

We are still on 6.5GA – thats great to know. Looking forward to 7.0GA! 🙂

7.0 GA is scheduled to be released by the end of Nov. I’ll keep you posted.
