    winxp sp2,
    eclipse: Version: 3.0.1
    Build id: 200409161125
    myeclipse: Version: 3.8.4
    Build id: 200501171200-3.8.4

Sometime yesterday I noticed that my project was not hot deploying to weblogic correctly – it didn’t seem to be updating my classes.

further investigation led to me see that my build output dir was not being updated, even witha manual clean and rebuild all.

Eventually I found that unchecking abort of build errors:
project properties – java compiler – workspace settings – build path – abort on build errors
fixed the issue – i.e. classes were generated again.
I don’t see an easy way to figure out what the error was – (hard/ timeconsuming ways are debugging eclipse itself or disabling binary search style each item on the build list)

Should there/ is there some internal console which would tell me what the build error is?

apologies if this is an eclipse thing versus a myeclipse thing, although I assume overlap is common.

    TIA,
    Hugh Madden

The closest thing to this would be your Eclipse log file: <workspace dir>\.metadata\.log

We try and help even when it is an Eclipse question if it is in the “gray” area, if it is blatently an Eclipse question we likely will send you a bag of rats in the mail as a deterrent from future questions about Eclipse 😀
