Hello,

I remember having all this working with the evaluation version of myeclipse, but when I purchased it, it stopped working now. I don’t have autocomplete nor assits nor Ctrl+Space to go to class/variable definition as before in the JSP.

If someone can provide me with help I’d appreciate it.

Thanks,
Ninos

Can you please post all the information we request in the Posting Guidelines thread at the top of this forum? That will give us some context so that we can determine if this is an installation issue, a configuration problem, or a bug. Thanks.

What operating system and version are you running? : WinXP Pro
What Eclipse version and build id are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform) :
Version: 3.0.2
Build id: 200503110845

– Was Eclipse freshly installed for MyEclipse? : Eclipse 3.0.2 was freshly installed then MyEclipse added in.

– If not, was it upgraded to its current version using the update manager? : No.

– Are any other external plugins installed? Yes

– How many plugins in the <eclipse>/plugins directory are like org.eclipse.pde.* : 8 some for 3.0.0, 3.0.1 and 3.0.2

What MyEclipse version are you using? (Help > About Eclipse Platform > Features) : 3.8.4
What JDK version are you using to run Eclipse? (java -version) : JDK 1.4.2_08
What JDK version are you using to launch your application server? : Using JBoss with JDK 1.4.2_08
What steps did you take that resulted in the issue? : Nothing special, all I recall after the licensed MyElipse I lost that capability in JSPs.

What application server are you using? JBOSS 3.2.6

Are there any exceptions in the Eclipse log file? (<workspace>/.metadata/.log) : Yes these.

This looks like an install issue. Try restarting MyEclipse with the -clean command line parameter in your shortcut, if that doesn’t work, try a new worksapce: File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace > Hit OK to restart. Now create a new Web Project, does autocomplete work?

If none of this works, we will need to do a clean reinstall of Eclipse 3.1 GA and MyEclipse 4.0 Milestone 2 for Eclipse 3.1 to a new location, then try and open your old workspace.

hmm, actually what it was is that I was launching Eclipse from the Eclipse shortcut and not MyExlipse’s. I didn’t know it mattered but aparently it does. 🙂

Thanks.
