I am running: Build id: 6.5.1-GA-20080715

After updating from MyEclipse 5.1.0 GA and using the same workspace the .log shows this Error Message:

How did you setup MyEclipse? Did you use the All in One installer or pulse?

I used the “All in One” installer to setup MyEclipse (on Windows XP).

Can you point MyEclipse to a brand new workspace and check if it works.

Also, I wanted to make sure you installed 6.5 to a brand new location and not over the old MyEclipse installation.

1.) installation: yes I did install v6.5 in a new location. v5.1 also is uninstalled and all old files deleted.

Old: C:\Programme\MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 5.1.0 GA

New: C:\Programme\MyEclipse 6.5

2.) starting v6.1 in a “brand new workspace” results in the following log:

3.) I was wondering …
Since the log of the reused “old” workspace say something about “ProxyData.setHost()” maybe this could be a possible cause:

I installed the subclispe plugin (http://subclipse.tigris.org/) in v5.1. and as well in v6.5.

after starting v6.5. in the reused old workspace the parameters of subeclipse/svn where all in place and ready to run and everything seems fine with svn, but … this is the only thing that I can think of having something to do with “proxy” or “host”.

Were you able to run MyEclipse after setting it up without installing any plugins?

Incase the problem persists, I would suggest you go to http://www.poweredbypulse.com and grab the pulse launcher. After launching the pulse explorer, add the MyEclipse profile to it. Let me know if you run into any issues.
