Sorry it took so long for the reply, turns out there was a miscommunication internally with who was going to answer this.
The advanced Oracle connector functionality is available once you connect using the DB Explorer to your Oracle database, you are able to manipulate your views, stored procs and other oracle-specific features via the DB explorer.
