HEADS UP FOR AD HOC DISTRIBUTION:

If OS 7.1 has been installed on any devices that are testing apps via ad hoc distribution, they will fail with a “certificate error” when attempting to download.

The “certificate” is not the app’s .cer certificate, but one on the server hosting the download location.

OS 7.1 requires that ad hoc apps be downloaded via “https://…” locations.

A “Secure Server Certificate” is required.

Hope this helps anyone that is having an issue with ad hoc app distribution.

@herb200mph thanks for sharing this recent requirement by apple.

The MobiOne App Center supports this requirement for over the air installations of your apps.

I hope this is not another scare tactic from Apple, by the way the back button still does not function on web apps in iOS7.1, big surprise there!!!

Could you open a new topic or post to an ios7 specific topic?
I ran 4 back button tests:
    native app (online): success
    native app (offline): success
homescreen webapp w/ appcache enabled (online): success
homescreen webapp w/ appcache enabled (offline): fail <– 🙁
