I’m running My Eclipse 3.7.2 and am wondering about why the Package Explorer view looks so much like the Navigator view.
When running 2.1.x the Package Explorer laid out the packages, and I didn’t have to drill down through each package folder to get the code I wanted to.
That presentation is now controlled by a preference setting in Eclipse 3.0. See Window > Preferences > Java > Appearance > Fold empty packages in hierarchial Package Explorer layout.
I’ve unchecked the “Fold empty packages in hierarchical Package Explorer layout” but the same (unwanted) behaviour persists. Is there something else I need to set/unset?
bort,
Oops, that wasn’t the right setting. I think what you’re looking for is on the Package Explorer’s view menu (small black downward-pointing triagle). Select Layout > Flat.
