    Hi! Mobione support team.

Have any of you had success with opening PDF documents on Android ? Without 3rd party Apps ? Im currently experimenting with this, and i dont seem to have any luck with it..

I have tried different ways of opening a PDF eg.

GOTOURL both Local and online hosted file.
    All popup window+controls

Im currently looking into embedding the PDF via HTML, although this leaves me without backbtn..

Please let me know if anyone have had success with it…

    Thank you in advance.

Don’t think this is going to work for you since the PDF reader is a separate application.

    Hi Ideaweb,

I’ve gotten the popup feature work with pdf files in the past, but I can’t get it working now, I suspect that could be a bug, we’re researching and will follow up with you as soon as I know more.

This is an incorrect statement. MobiOne HTML5 apps use Cordova/Phonegap with the Childbrowser plugin. Rendering PDFs has never worked on android for this Cordova/Childbrowser combination. We are investigating inclusion of a PDF viewer plugin now. This is preliminary and no timeframe is available on when PDFs will be supported.

We are unable to open a PDF from a web page when using Current Window option in Android version using the latest version of Mobione 2.6.3. Same works fine in Apple version.

Please let us know what is the best way to open PDF either in Current Window.
