Robert KuropkatParticipantHaving trouble yet again. Tried to install the PDT plugin and it was not able to open a PHP file properly. I saw a bug about exactly this in the Eclipse forums that says it is fixed for Eclipse 3.5. I thought it said it was fixed for 3.4 also but could not see how to get it.
Help….
Robert Kuropkat
P.S. I may have to reinstall MyEclipse as uninstalling PDT seems to have dorked up a bunch of things. I had to remove and re-install RSE support and now, I am getting an error about not being able “find a solution for… blah blah blah” for other updates…
P.P.S. I notice Pulse is showing a couple of my plugins twice. Not sure if that should be happening either…
support-joyMemberRobert,
Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. If this is an issue with the existing base Eclipse 3.4.2 then I am afraid, I don’t have any fix for you. Can you please send the link to the eclipse bug? I will have the dev team take a look and investigate if we can give you a workaround. Also, let me clarify that ME doesn’t provide support for PDT plugin internally.
In case you are trying to reinstall ME. I would suggest you to remove the PDT plugin using pulse. PDT plugins should be listed under your personal software. If there are references to plugins more than once, I would recommed you to refresh your MyEclipse profiles and check again.
Also can you copy and paste your installation details. You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details? And also attach your error log file? Your error log file is located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log also can you send screenshots of your error
