Although it was very buggy, it was very handy to use old style Test Center. Chrome based is very raw yet, bugging on transitions and have no built-in editor.
You can go back to the old test centre by going to window – settings – mobile web simulator. Also you can edit your code directly within the design centre now by just using file – open and browsing to your html or javascript file. It will open the code and you can edit! Its pretty cool.

Can you describe issue with transitions? We are working to improve the new simulator and all feedback welcome.
Technically is far more stable and up to date with html5 features than the Test Center. You can enable the new Chrome workspace feature and edit directly in the chrome dev tools similar to the old Test Center editor.
