Hello,
I’ve got a Problem with the properties editor using MyEclipseIDE 6.5.1 with Windows XP.
When editing a text properties-file (without opening the designer), the edior often hangs showing the sandclock mouse pointer and the Java-process uses one processor core with 100%. Nothing can be done for a couple of minutes. The process monitor (from Sysinternals) shows thousands of ‘QueryOpen’-Operations from the Java-process with the properties-file during this period. The virus scanner is switched of.
Memory is no problem, the Java process uses ‘137M of 224M’. The JVM memory is set to 1024Mb. The proprties file has a size of 200kb and 3800 lines.
After some minutes, the process usage stops to a normal level and I can continue working. I found out that this happens more often when clicking with the mouse inside the editor window.
Any idea?
