Has anyone figured out how to run Tomcat from within MyEclipse, as a non-root user, such that it serves via port 80? I’m using Tomcat 5.0.16, RedHat 9, and MyEclipse 3.6.4. It doesn’t appear that MyEclipse launches Tomcat by invoking catalina.sh, so modifying that file to do a sudo or such wouldn’t work.

I use a kernel patch, which allows all group 1 members to open those ports.
If interested, I could post that patch.
