I recently installed MyEclipse 4.1.1 / Eclipse 3.1.2, created a Web Project for use with an existing web project. I noticed that I don’t see Validate JSP when I right-click a jsp in the Package Exporer. I also don’t see the JSP as an option when I select File | New. I used MyEclipse 3.x for about a year previously on another machine and these features were there. They are also described in the help file. I was wondering if this is an installation or configuration problem.

Are you in the MyEclipse perspective? (Window > Open Perspective > Other… > MyEclipse)

In the MyEclipse J2EE perspective I still don’t have access to the right-click “Validate JSP” option that I had in 3.01. I do have a JSP option when I select File | New. I have a MyEclipse Web 2.0 perspective but not just a MyEclipse perspective like I had in 3.01.

This sounds like it could be an installation issue. I would suggest a clean install of Eclipse 3.1.2 SDK to a new directory (do not use an old one) and a clean install of MyEclipse 4.1.1 to a new directory as well. Then add -clean to your command line arguments when launching Eclipse and open your existing workspace, now see if you have the validation option.
