    Hi,

I have a suggestions for the configuration of the Application Servers.
I think the current layout is not very useful. There are way to many itmes in the tree. It is (at least for me) not easy to find out what application server is configured or enabled.
I think ideally there should be only one page with a table in it. When you add a new Application Server instance to this table the configuration values are underneath the table, you can enter the values in that for and if you press save the entry is added in the table. When an entry is selected, of course the configuration values appear again unerneath the table.
This layout would allow for instance to add multiple instance of the same type! That’s somwthing I wanted to do before I used MyEclipse and couldn’t do. That would be quite a nice feature.

Anyway … that’s just a suggestions, but it would be nice if you could do something to improve the in my opinion clutter Application Server setup pages.

    Thanks

    Rico

    Rico,
This sounds like a good suggestion to me, let me pass it on and see what the others think. Thanks!

This would really help me too. Right now I’m working on two projects (on JBoss 3 and JBoss 4) and switching back and forth to develop them is a real pain since I have to change the server configuration each time.

    Thanks

    rbriceno,
You shouldn’t need to switch in that case, we provide JBoss 3 and JBoss 4 connectors, you should be able to setup two deployments, one to each server then keep them in sync automatically not needing to mess with the deployment dialog again. Are you not seeing that?
