wjsjwMemberHi
I was glade to install the MyEclipse 6.0.1. all in one today. But there can not be found “java script” in binary window-preferences-Myeclipse-AJAX-“JavaScript Debug”. I also could not find the menu option “Javascript Application” when i open context menu “run as–open run dialog”.
It promps me to update the jar sometimes, but the errors occurs when a little byte downloaded:Problem Occurred
Quick Update(Time of error:November 20, 2007 4:15:51 PM GMT+08:00)
reason:
An exception occured downloading feature from
“http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/discovery-6.0/features/com.genuitec.myeclipse.matisse_6.0.1.zmyeclipse6012007010.jar”.
Does the errors info means that I cannot download the file “Matisse4MyEclipse Swing UI Designer 6.0.1. zmyeclipse601200710” and “ICEfaces AJAX and Java EE Tooling for MyEclipse 6.0.1. zmyeclipse601200710” ?

I hope you are not trying to set break points on html tags. Try adding a break point to the scriptlet code in your JSP page. Are you able to add break points now?
wjsjwMemberHi Nipun,
Luckly, I downloaded and intalled that 2jar successfuly yesterday. But I foundI just can set breakpoint to row which include <%java code%>, And you said that “I hope you are not trying to set break points on html tags.” Is it a improvement? Because I always used MyEclipse4.X before. And i found i can’t set breakpoint to javascript in my jsp . It is my favorite feature. How can i get it? Hopes you give me some help!
Thank you very much.
Loyal WaterMemberCan you paste your file here and point out the lines where you are unable to add the breakpoint.
wjsjwMemberHi nipun,
It is a typical jsp file. I can set breakpoint to .js file but can not set it to javascript in .jsp.

Loyal WaterMemberYou have to add the breakpoings in the jsp file from the Scripts view in a debug sessions. So you can launch the webapplication and then start javascript debugging on that page in the ajax browser. Then in the scripts view you should see the url that your jsp page is rendering and then you can set javascript breakpoints there.
