    Hi.

I am trying to evaluate MyEclipse for some upcoming projects.

I have followed the directions on adding the Tomcat 5.0 Server but when I try to add the project deployment to Tomcat I get the following message.

“The selected server is enabled, but is not configured properly. Delpoyment to it will not be permitted until the problem is correctd. Please navigate to the server preferences pages and verify the field with the propmpt: Tomcat JDK Name”

I hvae followed the directions, but not sure why I am having this problem.

If someone could please advise I would appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Kev.

    Kev,
You have found a not-so-helpful-error-message. What MyEclipse needs is for you to go to Window>Prefs>Java>Installed JREs, and configured one of your JREs, by changing its “JRE home directory”, to point to a JDK installed on your local machine. Tomcat can’t be run from MyEclipse without a JDK (since it would keep Tomcat from compiling JSPs).

Let us know if this works.

I knew it had to be something of that nature.

    That did the trick.

Thank you for the fast reply.

No problem, I’m just glad it worked.
