I am asking this question on behalf of an associate. Personally, I downloaded MyEclipse for Spring on my WorkStation a while ago (version 8.6) and the installation was flawless and it worked great for me.
However my associate has an identical workstation but a couple of hours ago he downloaded MyEclipse for Spring but the installation “hung” during installation. He tried several times, and each time the installation hung. So, he is asking me what could be the cause of this. I am at a loss because I did not have any trouble.
Is there some sort of special instructions for installing MyEclipse for Spring that can be used when problems like this occur? A hypothesis is that perhaps during the installation it tries to get something from the internet and the corporate firewall blocks it. This is just a guess.
