    Hi there,
Firstly, I dont know whether to put this topic under the Web Development or here, but i think i will put it on both.
I use RAD (from IBM) as my IDE and i just installed MyEclipse on it. Prior to this, RAD opens my JSP editor and it works very well, but after i installed MyEclipe and i try loading a jsp page, RAD tells me that “Unable to create part:” and then show another message on the editor saying, “an error as occured when creating this editor”
What do you guys think could be the problem? Please i need and urgent response
I need this urgently cos my company is doing a POC on JSF and they need me to submit this project asap.

    Thank you in anticipation,

    Koupes,

Sorry to hear you’re having this problem

I use RAD (from IBM) as my IDE and i just installed MyEclipse on it.

That’s the issue. MyEclipse works with Eclipse 3.1, not with RAD. It’s neither tested or supported in a RAD install and there are several incompatibilities between the two products. To use MyEclipse you’ll need to install it in a fresh 3.1 installation, not within a RAD install or conflicts will occur, as you’ve found out. To recover your RAD installation, you should disable the MyEclipse features at Help > Software Updates > Manage Configuration. You should then be able to ‘Revert to Previous’ to get your install working again.
