I’m trying to run Tomcat 6 from the IDE but keep getting errors even after I set the preferences to Tomcat’s home directory. The error is:

An internal error occurred during: “Server Restart.”

or

a configuration error occurred during startup. Please verify the preference field with the prompt: Tomcat JDK name.

You need to configure the connector to start Tomcat with a proper JDK, not a JRE. I believe it must be JDK 1.5 or later in the case of Tomcat 6.
