Are you working on 32 bit or 64 bit linux? Did you download the pulse installer from http://www.poweredbypulse.com?

Could this be the max file handle problem?

    anmarmar,

Can you copy and paste your installation details here? You can get it from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details. I notice that the pulse install refers to Pulse2. Do you have more than 1 pulse install in your ubuntu system?
Can you try the following –
    1. Run the uninstaller.
    2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
    3. Delete the Pulse Install Directory
    4. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file is erased as well
    5. Next perform a clean install of ME7.5 either using pulse/all-in-one installer

Let me know how this works for you.

    anmarmar,
I would suggest you take a look at this FAQ and check if increasing the File Handle helps resolve this issue:-

An internal error occurred during: “Initializing TargetCfg”.

Can you open pulse-explorer manually. Look for ~\Genuitec\Pulse Explorer\pulse-explorer.exe Login anonymously. It will direct you to the explorer. Now expand “My Profiles”. You should find MyEclipse 7.5 listed here. Right click on “MyEclipse 7.5” and from the context menu click on either [Install and run]/[Re-install and run].
Let me know if this works for you.

    anmarmar,
What are the perms on the file — can you chmod 777 the file and restart MyEclipse and see if that helps.

Let me know if this works for you.

    anmarmar,

Good to hear that you are all set.
I guess, you had dependency conflicts in your profile of MyEclipse, and hence facing the above mentioned issues. Pulse is a powerful tool which automatically resolves any dependency conflicts.
