Hi,

I’m trying to connect to a PostgreSQL-server 8.0 from my MyEclipse Database Explorer but I always get the message “Error while trying to login to Database”.

I’m sure that the server is available because I can connect with my Postgre SQL Manager and I have also checked my connection settings for a lot of times.

I have already set up a connection to an Oracle Database and there was no problem. Are there known problems for PostgreSQL?

I have solved the problem. I used a wrong url-format for the connection 😉

No, there are no known problems with PostgreSQL, we can connect to it just fine.
Is “error while trying to login to Database” all you get? Can you please additionally check your error log, there might me something in there too.
