    Hi,

I’ve been trying for the last hour to install M4M. The release notes say:

“MyEclipse Learning Center > Swing RCP Development > Getting Started”

However, I don’t have anything called “Swing RCP Development” in the MyEclipse Learning Center. If I click on the graphic that mentions Matisse, it takes me to another page, where when I click on the Matisse link I get an error that the help isn’t installed because that product isn’t installed. So the Release Notes are inaccurate.

Being an enterprising person, I tried to go through Software Update, and sure enough, I found the Matisse update. But when I try to install it, it immediately fails with this extremely informative error message:

    “Update operation has failed”

and the update manager progress bar sticks at 60%.

Unfortunately for me I was being optimistic and had already uninstalled M2 before installing this from the full stack, so I haven’t been able to get any work done today between the corrupt/incomplete downloads and now the lack of Matisse support.

Any ideas? I’m probably doing something stupid, but I usually don’t have these sorts of problems.

This is what is showing in my .log file:

org.eclipse.update.internal.core.FatalIOException: Server returned HTTP response code: “404 Not Found” for URL: http://downloads.myeclipseide.com/downloads/products/eworkbench/discovery-5.5/features/com.genuitec.myeclipse.matisse_5.4.200.jar.

    Paul,

If you’re running MyEclipse 5.5 GA after it starts the first time you should immediately be prompted to install Matisse by our Quick Updater. I wasn’t clear from your description what version you’re currently running. Can you provide a little more information about what version you’re running and how you installed it?
