Project specific settings should be stored in the project

    In eclipse 3.1 the java projects store project specific configuration in the project’s .settings folder so that this configuration can be stored in the source control system and be shared among developers.

    This should be the case with myeclipse also.

    A developer clarified what you meant by your previous post, I had misunderstood it, and we agree with you, these settings should be in the .settings file. We have filed this enhancement and will look into implementing it in a future release.

    Any news on this? I know that Eclipse supports a var like: ${project_loc} … I would really like to be able to use something like this so it would be very easy for me to keep the Application server CLASSPATH generic to each project, rather than having to change it each time.

    Guys, this will be fixed in 5.1.1, thank you for your patience and Ensonik, thank you for the funny example of what happens because of this issue currently 😉
