I have just migrated from myeclipse v8 to v10 (professional verison). It seems that the
quick edit tab for icefaces 1.8x components is not working anymore. It always gives the message “No quick edit properties are available for the current selection“.

Is there some setup I need to perform, or are the icefaces 1.8x components no longer supported in full?

A quick response would be appreciated.

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could not replicate the issue at my end.

Can you give us some more information ?

1. Can you please copy paste the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ?

2. Is the project migrated from MyEclipse 8.6 or is it a new project created in ME 10 ?

3. If you select the ICEFaces component in the editor, do you see the Quick Edit for it?

4. Can you create a new project and check if the issue exists? Also check the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log for any errors of interest.

5. If you can give us the steps you are following right from project creation to adding ICEFaces support it would be helpful to replicate the issue.Also please send us a screenshot to help us get a visual.

Thanks for your prompt response. I responded about a week ago, with all the details you requested, but it seems that response did not register.
It could be that the session timed out.

2) My projects are migrated from 8.6, but it does not work on a new project in ME10 either (as shown in example).

3) If you select it, it does not show the quick edit for it. However I can right click and choose properties and properties window will show up with message no quick edit properties….

4) No messages in the error log relating to this.

5) 1) create web project.
2) add JSF capabilities
3) add icefaces capabilities.
4) create a new XHTML page (advanced template). Snapshop is attached.

Thank you for the details. I see the issue with 10.1 but I could not replicate the issue at my end on the latest MyEclipse 10.5 version.

1. Can you please update to 10.5 and check if you are still seeing the issue ?

Go to MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Software Updates Available > MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 10.5. Apply the changes and follow the wizard. Restart the IDE when it prompts to. Switch to a new workspace and check.

Alternatively you can download 10.5 and install it alongside 10.1 without deleting 10.1. The license you hold for 10.1 is valid for 10.5 too as our licenses are time based and not version based. Here is the link to download MyEclipse 10.5 :

2. From the screenshot I see that you have added ICEFaces 3.0 as opposed to what you have mentioned earlier i.e ICEFaces 1.8. Please clarify.

3. If you are seeing the issue even after updating to MyEclipse 10.5, please list out steps in detail right from the version of JSF added till the template you selected in the XHTML wizard for us to help replicate the issue at our end.
