Is there a way to configure the Linux SDC Installer to use a proxy via the –unattended option?

In some environments the proxy is not configured globally and is configured through exported environment variables.

The Linux SDC Installer was failing when entering the hostname of the machine it was being installed on, until the actual IP address of the machine was used.

    Hey ic.gc.ca,

Sorry you are running into this issue.

    1. Are you running the installer as root? If you are trying to use port 80 for SDC, you will need to run the installer as root.

    2. Otherwise, if you’re running as root and it’s still failing you may have a firewall running on your local machine which is preventing HTTP communications to the port you’ve selected.

    3. One more possibility is that you already have a service running on the port you’ve selected. Please verify that via the command: netstat -a | egrep ‘Proto|LISTEN’

please let us know if you have any doubt/concern.

    Cheers,
    Aaron Lara
