I am getting an error from Pulse when I attempt to add the ECLEMMA, Log4e, or Line counter in status bar plugins to my MyEclipse 10 Profile. These have been working correctly in my MyEclipse 9 profile.

Additionally, the pop-up informs me to contact Pulse support by going to http://www.poweredbypulse.com, which doesn’t seem to exist.

    Please advise

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Please provide below details to help me investigate –
    1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details
    2. How did you install MyEclipse? Meaning using – all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic?
    3. How did you add the plugins? Could you list them including the update site / download site weblink
    4. Please attach a screenshot of the issue you are facing to help me get a visual
    5. Copy and paste the error here

    Installed using Pulse

    3) <quote>How did you add the plugins? Could you list them including the update site / download site weblink</quote>

Well, ECLEmma and Line Counter both were installed from the Pulse Catalog, so it’s more
appropriate to ask which weblinks the catalog is using. However, I also attempted to install ECLEmma by manually creating site for it; and adding it to the profile. The site I used was http://update.eclemma.org/

    Attached as ECLEmma Error.doc

    See attachment from item 4

    6) <quote>Also attach your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log</quote>

    wleck,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. I suggest you do the following –
    1. Remove the ECLEmma and Line Counter added earlier. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Select the Software tab. From My Software > Personal Software, right click on the plugins and click on [remove]
    2. Click on [Apply x changes] under *Pending Changes* and follow the wizard.
    3. When prompted choose to restart the IDE
    4. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log

I added ECLEmma plugin as below. Please try out the same steps –
    1. Downloaded eclemma-1.5.3.zip from http://sourceforge.net/projects/eclemma/
    2. Unzipped the same and copy – pasted > Features and Plugins to [MyEclipse 10 installation dir]/dropins
    3. Restart the IDE

Let me know how this works for you.
