Up front, I’d like to clarify something:
1) The perspective for software management is only available in MyEclipse 8.5 M1. I assume you are talking about this: http://www.myeclipseide.com/modules/ContentExpress/img_repository/docs/85/mcc-dashboard.png
If you are referring to something else, please let me know. The perspective is also available for all profiles that are provisioned with Pulse 3.
2) MyEclipse 8 is based on an earlier version of Pulse and will not include this perspective, even if provisioned by Pulse 3. Pulse 3 was not available at the time MyEclipse 8 was released and we wanted to keep the Update interface constant throughout the 8 release.
On to your specific problem :
1) Which version of MyEclipse have you installed? 8 or 8.5M1?
2) Did you install it using an all in one installer or did you provision it from Pulse Explorer?
3) You mentioned you “reinstalled” – how did you do this?
4) You said you cant’ access your profile. – how are you trying to access it?
5) What was your original problem with software updates?
I’m sorry for the many questions and I’m definitely concerned with the problems you are having. Hopefully we’ll be able to track this down and nail the issue. Your patience is certainly appreciated.
