    jOliveiraar,

I appears the issue is during your upgrade from 8.5M1 to 8.5, which we released last week. What I’d suggest to fix this is that you install MyEclipse 8.5 prior to trying to install the SVN plugin. You can do this using any of these methods:

From the Software Configuration Center you should see a few updates available in the “Updates” section of the dashboard. Select all of them then click the “Apply” button to install the updates and allow MyEclipse to restart
    OR
Use any of our MyEclipse 8.5 installers (custom or downloadable) from our download page to install MyEclipse 8.5.

In either instance, once MyEclipse 8.5 launches you’ll be able to install SVN from the “Software” tab of the configuration center or the “Quick-add Plugins” section.

    engmti85,

How did you install SVN? Also can you copy and paste your installation details here? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
I would recommend you do the following –
    1. Open MyEclipse Configuration Center. From MyEclipse IDE, click on Help > MyEclipse Configuration Center. Choose Software tab.
    2. Remove the SVN plugin which is already added from MySoftware > Personal.
    3. Next choose from the available list under Quick-Add Popular Plug-ins.
    a. Subclipse 1.4.x (w/related)
    b. Subclipse 1.6.x (w/related)
    c. Subversive Plug-in (w/related)
Right click on the software and click on [add to profile]. This will open a dialog with options to add relevant software. Choose from the list and click on [OK]
    4. This will list the managed changes under “Pending Changes”.
    5. Click on [Apply x changes] button and follow the wizard.
Let me know how this works for you.

I did all the steps from 1 to 5 many times. When i click on “Apply 6 changes” I always get an error:
    Bad update sites
    com.genuitec.pulse2.client.common.launcher.BadUpdateSiteException
    Software being installed: MyEclipse 8.5 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000003 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-0-rb-578452-1279278688669 2.0.0.0000000003)
Missing requirement: MyEclipse 8.5 (Profile) 2.0.0.0000000003 (com.poweredbypulse.profile-0-rb-578452-1279278688669 2.0.0.0000000003) requires ‘org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.feature.group 0.0.0’ but it could not be found

    you didn’t have that problem?

    a_dude,

Can you answer me few queries for me to get to the root cause?
    1. How did you install ME 8.5? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site?
    2. Do you have any other 3rd party plugins added to your ME profile? If yes, can you list them here?
    3. Are you behind any firewall / proxy?
    4. Can you copy and paste com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id?
Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Help > About MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench > Installation Details > Configuration. com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id is located – Under *** System properties.

I don’t have any issues installed SVN, please see the attached screenshots. Can you confirm if you have followed the same approach?

    1. I downloaded and installed ME8.5 ALL in ONE from here http://www.myeclipseide.com/index.php?name=Downloads&req=viewsdownload&sid=36

    2. I did not add any other plugins.

    3. Yes, for sure. But I don’t know how many.

    4. com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id=647954bf-cfe3-4687-9315-d849ee769c64

I tried Subclipse 1.6 first and then 1.4. First as normal user, and then I started MyEcllipse as admin. Now I don’t get the “Bad update sites” error. But instead (after cklicking on “Apply 5 changes”) it looks like its hanging. I see a window “Pulse Explorer”. But not yet “Accept Software Licenses” (like your screenshot). For more than an hour now it’s still on “Validating MyEcllipse 8.5”. Resolving and validationg the profile… the progressbar doesn’t go any millimeter forward.

I have the same problem under Vista and Win7. With MyEclipse 8.0 it did work (under Vista; did not try with Win7).
And to open the Software and Worspace Center sometimes takes 10 minutes. Is that normal?
Does the configuration center need to connect to some genuitec or other website?
Tab „Software“, left, at the bottom: About this Profile => Sync state: => does it have to be connected?

    a_dude,

    3. Yes, for sure. But I don’t know how many.

Please setup your firewall / proxy information here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections.

    4. com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id=647954bf-cfe3-4687-9315-d849ee769c64

Can you please validate this the com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id?

    com.genuitec.pulse.client.handshake.id=430cee0f-81b4-4e54-bfac-b46d4ac02c75

I could finally install the subclipse 1.6 plugin. I did take the laptop home so no firewalls were blocking “whatever”.
    Thanks for trying to help!
