Installing myeclipse on a new machine, figured I’d give the workspace collaboration / shared config thing a try. My co-worker sent me an invite, and I tried the MyEclipse 8.6 web-based installer link provided in the invite email. The linked page doesn’t load anything except some marketing-speak about sitting back and relaxing because this is going to be easy. There’s an empty grey bar below that and an error message that says:

    load: class com.genuitec.pulse2.client.installer.web.PulseInstallerApplet not found

Not easy. Not relaxing. Could you put some system requirements or something actually useful on that page? KThxBye.

    Mike,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. I have moved this post to pulse forum here – http://www.poweredbypulse.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5114#post5114

Resolved this by installing Pulse first. My problem is I believed the naive approach suggested by the invite e-mail would work on a new workstation with no MyE or Pulse installed. It would be nice if the web installer page detected whether Pulse is installed first. Other than that this process really was easy. Thanks.
