virtualmasterMemberIs it posiable to have push notifications on ios mobione app, what about.
1. using apples own service.
2. 3rd parties service like pushwoosh.if it is posiable to open or import mobione created ipa file in xcode for futher baking? if so can we add the push notification than?
thanks
jmnaudMemberI support that need. It seems the quickest solution would be for MobiOne to install the PhoneGap Push Notification Plug-in on the compiler side and provide the configuration parameters in the iOS/Android build windows.
Everything else can be done by the users. It would be a basic solution but it would allow a quick solution to a need that has been expressed by quite a number of MobiOne users. For the back-end there are quite a number of solutions out there (like pushwoosh, Parse, FatFractal, etc.) but MobiOne developers will be stuck as long as they can not deploy the push notification support on the front-end device. That requires access to the PhoneGap compiling environment which we do not have (ref. http://www.adobe.com/devnet/phonegap/articles/apple-push-notifications-with-phonegap.html)
See what Tiggzi offers as a source of inspiration (http://docs.tiggzi.com/tutorials/sending-push-notifications-to-a-device/)
MobiOne is a very nice tool and adding even just basic support for Push Notifications would be great.
Thanks,
Jean-Marc
virtualmasterMemberAnyone from mobione support might want to suggest a solution please as pushNotif.. is a great marketing tool and it would be really handy to have it. Thanks
stevs.netMemberI’d like to second that. I have clients and potential clients all asking if they will be able to send push notifications. Another feature that should be at the top of the list is being able to create paid apps and in app purchases. And a cool handler would be Swipe too.
Is there any updates on how Push and Paid app integration is coming on? Are we possibly looking at Feb/March or will it be later? I need to find solutions that can include these and would prefer to use MobiOne but if we are looking beyond mid year I’ll need to find another platform. (any suggestions welcome)
Tnx
