I have an existing Eclipse Java project I’m not enable activate “Add web project capabilities” button in MyEclipse.

If you create a new MyEclipse Java project, are you able to add web project capabilities to it?

Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

Can you create a new Java Project, select the project in the package explorer and then check if the capabilities get activated.

If the problem persists, can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

Hi,
When I create a new project, it actually seems to work fine. On the existing java project that I couldn’t add the web capabilities to, I eventually got it working by manually adding the “webnature” line to the .project file, and after doing that, the ability to add/remove the web project became activated again and I could edit the details associated with it. So, it’s actually working for me as I need it right now. However, if you have any insight into why it was not initially working and why I needed to edit the .project file manually, I’d appreciate it so as to more fully understand what happened. Thank you,

Im not sure why this was not working for the existing project. I’ll check with the dev team and let you know if they have any insights on this issue.
