    Hello *,

i have installed MyEclipse 8.6. When i export an application, the “launcher name” settings doesn’t affect anything. The exported exe-file is always myeclipse.exe wihout using the icon of the application.
I used an older yersions (5.x) till now and it works perfect.

How can i customize/configure MyEclipse 8.6 to generate exe-file with correct name and icon?

    I used http://www.myeclipseide.com/installer/ to install 8.6

    Thanks for answers.

    bwverlag,

Can you answer some more questions for me to understand the issue better?

    1) Can you share your build id from Help > MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench. Paste the build id here for me.
    2) What kind of application is it? Is it a web application or a normal java project?
    3) How are you creating the ‘launcher name’ settings?
    4) Can you please give detail steps right from creating the project to exporting it for me to replicate the issue?

    Issue is solved!!!

    Hello swapna,

i copied all the plugins from myeclipse installation folder into a standard Eclipse-environment.
Now i can start by calling eclipse.exe (instead of myeclipse.exe) and export my Apllication (Rich-Client-App) as Eclipse-Product. Now the exported exe-file is called xy.exe and uses the icon, as assigned in product-file.

    Thanks

    bwverlag,

I understand that you found a workaround, but can you please give us what steps you took for exporting the application, the menu items and options selected and the buttons you clicked.

We want to investigate this further. Please send us the steps in detail.
