When I opened myEclipse today, I went to the MyEclipse Configuration Center
    and installed the suggested updates.
Then when I went to the workbench I got the error:
    Unable to read workbench state.
    Reason:
    Problems occurred restoring perspective.
    Could not find view: org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.ui.repository.RepositoriesView
    Could not find view: org.tigris.subversion.subclipse.ui.annotations.AnnotateView

While I can still see my projects in the java perspective, the team options no-longer show up and nothing is displayed in the SVN Repository View. I rely on SVN for CM functionality and most of my projects are checked into subversion. I’m not seeing the option to add/edit the perspective.

    Help Urgently Needed

    Thanks

    bkeydel,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Could you provide below details to help me investigate further –

    1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and copy and paste the same here
    2. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate issue and attach file here

I would recommend you do the following –
    1. Remove / delete the projects which were checked out from SVN Repository
    2. Remove / delete the SVN repository
    3. Create SVN Repository
    4. Check out projects from SVN repository

Let me know how this works for you.

    Bill,

Please note that Joy is referring to the SVN repository definition in Subclipse, not the actual repository. Just in case there was any confusion 🙂 However, if the repositories view can’t be opened, you probably won’t be able to delete or add repository paths.

Could you check that Subclipse is still installed? A quick way is to just see if there is an SVN preferences page under Window->Preferences->Team.

If it isn’t installed, it may have been inadvertently deleted during your update. You can, of course, re-add it from the Configuration Center. Can you remember what updates were suggested? Could you also let us know the version and release of MyEclipse that you have? Perhaps the easiest would be to go to MyEclipse->Installation Summary->Installation Details and post the contents here.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.
