trouble is *.properties files are removed from classes folder also & I have to keep copying them back in from elsewhere – is there someway of preventing this?

Also I sometime get an error in Eclipse “problems creating folder xxxx”, doing another rebuild and/or refresh normally clears this but problem as above then occurs!

Why don’t you put all your .properties files in your source file in the correct directory. Therfore when you recompile they will automatically be placed in your classes directory?

bbalmer is correct, this is the ‘preferred’ method for developing with properties.
