 Michael FlanakinMemberAs-is, regex searches only apply regular expressions to the search terms. I’d like to have it also apply to the replacement values, when applicable. For instance, if I search for “\nString” and replace it with “\n\tprivate String” in the following block, it doesn’t work as expected, right now. String id;
 String name;Currently, replace will produce this… ntprivate String id;
 ntprivate String name;May 18, 2005 at 6:17 pm #229826
 Riyad KallaMemberSearch/Find/Find&Replace are all Eclipse functionalities, this should be filed with them. May 19, 2005 at 7:42 am #229841

 markos_dp_uaMemberI lost abillity to search by regexp in MyEclipse “Search” dialog.
 How can I retrieve search with regexps?July 27, 2012 at 6:32 am #328521
 support-joyMembermarkos_dp_ua, Please provide below details to help me investigate further –
 1. Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details > [Copy to Clipboard] and paste the same here
 2. Attach a screenshot to help me get a visual
 3. When you use Ctrl+F, does that open the Find/Replace wizard? Do you see “Regular expressions” under “Options”?
 4. Could you elaborate what are you trying to search using regular expressions?
 5. Clear your .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log, replicate the issue and attach file hereI would recommend you do the following – open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on Window > Preferences > General > Search and click on [Restore Defaults], [Apply] and [OK]. Let me know how this works for you? July 31, 2012 at 2:19 am #328604

 /home/markos/MyEclipse/Common/binary/com.sun.java.jdk.linux.x86_64_1.6.0.013/bin/java2-3. As You can see on the screenshot, the “Find/Replace” wizard desn’t contain any checkboxex for regexps.
 4. I’m trying to search various fragments of Java code.
 5. Nothing changed.Your advice about “Window > Preferences > General > Search ” doesn’t work. Attachments:You must be logged in to view attached files.July 31, 2012 at 3:35 am #328606
 markos_dp_uaMemberThe issue is solved.
 Checkboxes was hidden. When I changed size of search window they became visible.
 Could You add scroll or size restrictions fo this dialog?July 31, 2012 at 8:30 am #328608
 support-joyMembermarkos_dp_ua, Good to hear you are all set after you resized your search window. I have escalated your query about adding scroll or size restriction on this dialog to dev team member. They would get back to you. Sorry for the inconvenience. July 31, 2012 at 10:35 am #328610
 Brian FernandesModeratormarkos, I’m afraid the dialog in question here is not something the MyEclipse team can control, this is likely an issue with Eclipse on your particular windowing system or at your DPI settings. Does the issue appear each time you open the search dialog or does it remain fixed once the dialog is resized? August 1, 2012 at 4:01 am #328640

 Its good solution for me. Thank You! 🙂
